No big waves or undertow which make it a very family friendly beach for little ones. The water is warmer because it’s the bay side and if you are worried about sharks, get the Sharktivity app and you will see that the majority of them never go into the bay. It’s pretty big so you never feel crowded (unless you choose to put your stuff down right near the entrance to the beach which I have no idea why anyone does this, but they do). This is my favorite beach on the whole cape. Who knows what they thought or did behind our backs. Several people saw us walking to and from the pavilion, but all acted as if our appearances were nothing out of the ordinary.
